Mytheresa grew out of Theresa, a designer boutique Susanne and Christoph Botschen opened in central Munich in 1987; the online shop followed in 2006. Besides womenswear, it sells kidswear (since 2019), menswear (since 2020) and, since 2022, home and lifestyle pieces in its Life category. Listed in New York since 2021, the company bought Yoox Net-a-Porter from Richemont in 2025 and renamed its parent LuxExperience, which also owns Net-a-Porter, Mr Porter and YOOX. Mytheresa is known for selling mainly at full price: reductions are concentrated in the summer and winter sales rather than spread across frequent promo codes. There's no points-based loyalty programme; instead, personal shoppers look after top customers and give them first access to new arrivals, alongside events and capsule collections that launch first on Mytheresa. Orders leave Germany – from Munich and from a distribution centre at Halle/Leipzig Airport that opened in 2023 – and travel with DHL Express.
