Amazon Price Tracker

Amazon changes prices more often than almost any other shop – sometimes several times a day, and differently in each country store. SaleAlarm checks the price of the Amazon product you choose regularly and emails you as soon as it drops, so you don't have to keep refreshing the page.

What you should know about Amazon

Amazon is the world's largest online marketplace. Only part of the range is sold by Amazon itself – a large share of the offers comes from independent Marketplace sellers. Several sellers often compete for the same product page, and the price shown at the top can switch from one seller to another.

Prices on Amazon are adjusted automatically and very frequently, depending on demand, competitors and stock. That's why the price of the same item can swing back and forth within days. Apart from the big Prime events in July and October, many reductions happen quietly in between – exactly the moments a price alert is made for.

Price alerts are most worthwhile on Amazon for electronics, household appliances, toys and branded products – that's where prices move the most. Set the alarm on exactly the variant you want: different colours, sizes or storage options of the same product often have different prices.

    When does Amazon have sales?

These are the most important sale periods for Amazon. Set your alarm a few weeks before – then you know the normal price and can recognise a real discount.

    Saving tips for Amazon

    • Compare Amazon's country stores: the same product is often priced differently on amazon.com, amazon.de, amazon.fr and amazon.it. Set an alarm on each version you could order from and buy wherever the price drops first.

    • Look out for coupons: on many product pages there's a coupon to activate below the price. The discount is only applied in the basket and isn't always reflected in the listed price.

    • Check the "Other sellers" section: the same product – new or in very good used condition – is often available a little cheaper from another seller.
