Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about SaleAlarm
Yes! SaleAlarm is 100% free to use. We believe everyone should have access to smart shopping tools. There are no hidden fees, no premium tiers, and no catch.
SaleAlarm is free. Some links to shops may be affiliate links: if you buy through one, SaleAlarm earns a small commission from the shop. The price stays the same for you, and affiliate links have no influence on which shops and prices we show.
Copy the link of the product page and paste it into the field on our homepage. SaleAlarm reads the current price and shows it to you for checking. If it's right, enter your email address and set the alert. You'll then receive an email with a verification link – as soon as you click it, monitoring starts.
The confirmation makes sure that only you receive alerts at your address and that nobody can sign you up without your consent. Price monitoring only starts after you have clicked the link in the confirmation email. If you can't find it, check your spam folder.
SaleAlarm works with most major online retailers – including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target and eBay – and with thousands of smaller shops. If a product has a public URL with a visible price, we can likely track it.
Some shops use bot protection that prevents us from reading the price automatically. In that case SaleAlarm shows you a notice. You can try a link to the same product in another shop, or ask the shop to allow our bot "SaleAlarmBot".
We check prices regularly – how often depends on the shop. As soon as a check finds a lower price, we send you an email. A few shops are very expensive to read; we check them less often, about every two weeks, and tell you so before you set the alert.
We'll send you an email notification the moment we detect a price drop. The email includes the old price, new price, and a direct link to buy the product.
Every email from SaleAlarm contains an unsubscribe link. One click is enough to stop the alert – no login required.
No. SaleAlarm works directly in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. You don't need to register or install anything – your email address is all we need.
As many as you like. You can set up a separate price alert for every product you're interested in – free of charge.
Yes. SaleAlarm works with online shops worldwide – from big marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay or AliExpress to small local shops. The price is tracked in the currency shown on the product page.
The biggest discounts usually come with sale events such as Black Friday, Singles Day and the end-of-season sales in winter and summer. Set up your alerts a few weeks before – our sale calendar shows when the next events take place.
After we extract the price, you'll see a verification screen where you can confirm the price is correct or try again. This ensures we're tracking the right price for you.
We only use your email address to send you price alerts and the related service messages. We don't sell it and don't pass it on for advertising purposes. You can unsubscribe from any product alert at any time.
Your data is stored by our technical service providers, including providers in the USA – our privacy policy lists which ones. We process it in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR. You can request information about or deletion of your data at any time at privacy@salealarm.io.
