Free People Price Tracker

Free People takes its name from the first shop Dick Hayne and his co-founders opened in West Philadelphia in 1970; the name returned in 1984 as a wholesale label, and the first Free People boutique opened in Paramus, New Jersey, in 2002. Part of URBN, it sells bohemian women's clothing, intimates, swimwear, shoes, beauty and the FP Movement activewear line. Besides its own US and Canadian stores, it is sold through department stores such as Nordstrom, and UK shoppers have a dedicated site at freepeople.com/uk.

Reductions collect in the sale section, and the US site lists running offers on a current promotions page. For US online orders, Free People honours a one-time price adjustment if an item is marked down within a short period after it ships – temporary promotions and discount codes don't count. FP MART, a marketplace of outside designers and makers, is excluded from promotions and ships only within the continental US. The UK site delivers within Great Britain in pounds; most other countries order from freepeople.com.

Many Free People pieces come in several colours, prints and washes, and markdowns rarely apply to every version at once. A price alert on the exact variant tells you when that one drops. If the email arrives shortly after your US online order has shipped, check whether you are still inside the price-adjustment window – it can save you a return and reorder.
