What you should know about COS
COS – short for Collection of Style – opened its first store on London's Regent Street in March 2007, launched with a catwalk show at the Royal Academy. The Swedish H&M Group brand is based in London and sells minimalist clothing and accessories for women and men. The online shop followed in 2011 and the first North American store in 2014. UK customers shop at cos.com/en-gb in pounds, US customers at cos.com/en-us in dollars.
Prices fall mainly in the seasonal sales. In the US, reduced items have a shorter return window than full-price ones, items marked Final Sale can't be returned or exchanged at all, and COS states that it doesn't offer price adjustments. Returns by mail carry a fee, while returns in store are free. In the UK, sale items also have a shorter return period, newsletter subscribers get a discount on their first order, and gift cards can only be bought and used in stores.
Coats, knitwear and tailoring usually come in several colours and sizes, and reductions don't always reach every variant at the same time. Set your alert on the exact colour and size you want: you'll get an email when that piece gets cheaper. In the US this matters even more, because COS doesn't adjust the price of an order after purchase – the only way to pay the lower price is to buy once it has dropped.
