Next opened its first shops in February 1982, growing out of Hepworth, a tailoring business founded in Leeds in 1864. Headquartered in Enderby near Leicester, it is the UK's largest clothing retailer by sales. Next concentrates its biggest reductions in two end-of-season sales, after Christmas and in summer.
