6pm is the discount retail division of Zappos, which bought the site from eBags in 2007. It sells shoes, clothing, bags and accessories for the whole family from brands it is authorised to carry – first-quality goods only, no factory seconds. 6pm is mainly an online shop, but there is also one physical outlet store in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. 6pm ships only to US states and territories, plus PO boxes and military APO/FPO addresses, so customers in the UK can't order directly.

Most of 6pm's stock is closeouts, discontinued and hard-to-find styles, bought in limited quantities. 6pm says restocking usually isn't possible, and an item in your basket isn't reserved: another shopper can buy it before you check out. Your basket doesn't hold sale prices either, so a reduced price can disappear once a sale ends. Email subscribers hear about sales and coupons first, and orders below the free-shipping threshold pay a standard shipping fee.
