What you should know about Swarovski
Swarovski was founded in 1895 in Wattens, in Austria's Tyrol, by Daniel Swarovski, a Bohemian-born glass cutter who had patented an electric crystal-cutting machine; the company is still owned by the family and based there. It entered the US jewellery market in 1977, launched watches in 1999 and has made its crystal lead-free since 2012. On swarovski.com you choose your country, so US shoppers see prices in dollars and UK shoppers in pounds.
Besides seasonal sales, swarovski.com has an Outlet section in the US and many other countries, with reduced jewellery, watches and home décor; some pieces there are marked as a last chance to buy. Collectors can join the Swarovski Crystal Society, whose members get access to an exclusive collection that includes an Annual Edition. Since 2004 Swarovski has also supplied the star for the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, and smaller versions are sold as Annual Edition ornaments.
Many Swarovski designs come in several colours and platings – rhodium, gold-tone or rose gold-tone – and rings in different sizes, each with its own price and stock. A reduction doesn't always cover every version of a design, so set your alert on the exact colour and size you want. SaleAlarm checks the page regularly and emails you when the price drops, which matters for outlet pieces that may not stay in stock for long.

Saving tips for Swarovski
Swarovski reduces older collections in its sales. If you like a piece from the current collection, track it – it may be reduced when the next one arrives.
If your piece is in the Outlet section with a last-chance label, don't hold out too long for a deeper cut once your alert arrives: stock there is limited and some items already show as sold out.
Each country site sets its own minimum order for free standard shipping. On a small reduced item, check the delivery charge before you pay – it can cancel out the saving unless you combine it with something you wanted anyway.
